Marina
With covered slips. There are no hurricanes and very few tropical storms, so the forces of nature are not
a problem. The two marinas here are open to the elements and so are the storage lots. Boat owners here for the most
part are affluent and would like to have sheltered slips for their toys.
Eventually adding a swimming pool, bar and restaurant would make a marina of this type very desireable to
vacationers and cruisers.
Dry Marina
With in/out service. None on the island, and there are not enough slips in the marinas. Land on the
ocean in areas unsuitable for swimming is fairly reasonable.
Rental Housing Complex
The island is primarily a vacation destination for Europeans, Cruisers,and Venezuelans from the mainland.
As a result, there are very few long-term rentals (houses, condos or apartments) available. There is a need for 2/3
bedroom houses, duplexes or townhouses and deposits of 1st, last, and 2 or 3 months for damage are normal here.
"Total Immersion" Spanish or English School
A 'Total Immersion' Spanish Language School.
Or a 'Total Immersion' English School for the wealthier Latins who wish to learn or improve their English.
Cosmetic Surgery All-Inclusive
The island has several Plastic Surgery and Dental Clinics. The cost is a fraction of U.S/European prices.
To my knowledge no one offers a complete package deal with hotel, airport pick-up, etc.
Nudist Resort All-Inclusive
Or Bed and Breakfast. Haven't found one here, and you could offer true "Bare Boat" Cruises and other activities.
Swinger's Resort
All-Inclusive or B&B. There are 2 or 3 All-Inclusive Bordellos for adult vacations (5-7 day packages).
Their prices average $2,500 per week.
This concept would probably work for swingers or gays, too.
Adult Cyber Cafe
Subscribe to various Spanish Language pay-per-view sites and patrons with proof of age could surf these
sites in semi-privacy. Might also sell/rent adult movies and novelties.
